Petia Nenova

Petia Nenova serves as a vice president at Edelman Global Advisory, bringing more than 10 years’ experience in international policy and strategic communications. Most recently she worked at Landmark public affairs and the European Consulting Company, advising on food policy, nutrition, and health at a global level, and particularly in relation to the European Commission, WHO, and the larger UN system. Previously, she was a policy officer at the European Commission’s Directorate General for Health and Food Safety with responsibilities in the field of public health policy, including nutrition, obesity, and non-communicable diseases. Prior to that she worked as an information and communication officer at the Permanent Representation of the European Commission in Sofia, Bulgaria. A graduate in journalism and Spanish literature from Ithaca College (US), Ms. Nenova also holds a master’s degree in EU policies from Universidad Complutense de Madrid (Spain). In addition to her native Bulgarian, she also speaks English, Spanish, and French.
