Melissa Leung serves as senior program manager in Edelman Global Advisory’s Asia Pacific advisory team based in Hong Kong. In this role, she supports market teams across the Asia-Pacific region in work related to government relations, stakeholder engagement, and crisis and issues management. She has experience in coordinating large-scale regional public affairs projects for governments, multinational companies and multilateral organizations across multiple markets in APAC, the US and the EU.
Ms. Leung kickstarted the region’s World Economic Forum service offering, working together with Edelman’s chief media officer in APAC and has been part of the company’s first initiative in APAC to support regional clients in executive positioning, media engagement, and content creation in the lead-up to and during the annual World Economic Forum in Davos, Switzerland. Ms. Leung joined EGA after working as an account executive in Edelman Hong Kong, where she provided support to multinational companies in designing and implementing communication programs.
She also has experience working with Chinese tech companies to expand their global presence through international media engagement and corporate positioning. Ms. Leung graduated with first class honors from the University of Hong Kong with a bachelor’s in journalism. She is fluent in English, Mandarin, and Cantonese. She is currently pursuing a master’s degree in global public policy at the University of London.
