Maria Pereya-Vera

As a senior program manager on Edelman Global Advisory’s issues management team, Maria Pereyra-Vera drives thought leadership and stakeholder mapping and engagement for several clients in the Washington, DC office, including Bloom Energy, and Chevron, among others. Ms. Pereyra-Vera has also led client support in the traditional and renewables energy space, specifically hydrogen and fuel cells. Ms. Pereyra-Vera’s background is at the intersection of energy policy and global public affairs.

Previously, she served at the Department of Energy working in the Office of International Affairs and Office of Energy Efficiency and Renewable Energy focused on critical minerals. Before that, she worked in the US Senate on the Committee on Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs.

Born in Argentina, and having lived in four different countries, Ms. Pereyra-Vera is fluent in both English and Spanish and has a working proficiency in French. She received her master’s degree in public affairs from the University of Texas and holds a bachelor’s in history and political science from Southern Methodist University.
