Kent Sholars is a senior vice president in the corporate practice at Edelman Global Advisory in Dallas. He brings more than 15 years of public and private sector communications experience with a strong focus on public affairs campaigns and management. Prior to joining EGA, Mr. Sholars developed and managed client engagements at two other public relations agencies in Dallas, where he worked with clients in several industries including technology, finance, and non-profits.
Before transitioning into the agency world, Mr. Sholars spent 10 years working at the intersection of communications, policy, and politics. He ran communications and media campaigns for political candidates and elected officials in Michigan, West Virginia, and Texas. A native Texan, Mr. Sholars has a bachelor’s degree in communications and political science from Southwestern University and a master’s degree in political management from George Washington University.
