Kate Cigna

As vice president with Edelman Global Advisory, Kate Cigna brings years of experience in leading results-driven public affairs campaigns for Global 500 companies, trade associations, think tanks, government organizations, NGOs, and thought leaders.​

Prior to EGA, Ms. Cigna served as a communications director in the US House of Representatives, providing strategic communications advice to members of Congress on complex policy issues and interacting daily with national and international television, print, online and radio reporters, as well as the member of Congress' constituents and stakeholders.​

Ms. Cigna applies her insider knowledge of Congress and public affairs to assist EGA's clients in developing strategic messaging, building stakeholder relationships, and dealing with issues, crisis, and reputation management.​

In addition to her time on Capitol Hill, Ms. Cigna served as a regional communications manager for Americans for Prosperity (AFP), one of the nation’s largest grassroots organizations, leading the communications efforts for eight of the organization’s 32 state chapters.

Ms. Cigna received bachelor’s degrees from the University of Alabama in political science and broadcast news.
