Joy Liu serves as Edelman Global Advisory’s associate director in Beijing, China. She has worked with organizations across the public and private sectors, which enabled her to gain a diverse set of skills and abilities. In this role, she supports clients on government relations, policy monitoring and analysis, strategy development, as well as events and project management.
Prior to joining EGA, Ms. Liu served as senior trade and investment officer at the Department for International Trade (DIT) in the British Embassy Beijing, working to facilitate the success of UK and Chinese companies in their bilateral markets. She began her career at China Council for the Promotion of International Trade (CCPIT), a national foreign trade and investment promotion agency where she focused on strengthening business ties between China and other Asian countries. Previously, Ms. Liu also worked for Pfizer, a leading pharmaceutical company, supporting commercial development and portfolio planning. Mr. Liu holds a master’s degree in public policy from the University of Sydney. She also studied at George Washington University’s Elliott School of International Affairs.
