Graham Looney

Graham Looney

Graham Looney has over five years of experience in public affairs, with a particular focus on Information technology, defense, and space. Prior to Edelman Global Advisory, he worked as a legislative assistant in the House of Commons under the Trudeau administration and as an advisor and registered lobbyist.

Mr. Looney brings expertise in technology procurement within the Canadian public sector and has a wealth of experience assisting technology companies doing business with governments across Canada. He leverages his experience in this field to support EGA technology clients in Ottawa and elsewhere in Canada.

Mr. Looney holds a bachelor’s degree in political science from the University of Victoria with additional focus on Canadian business and law. At UVic, he was the project manager for University Victoria Satellite Design (UVSD), part of the University of Victoria Centre for Aerospace Research (CfAR).

Mr. Looney is a co-founder of the Satellite Canada Innovation Network (SatCan), a non-profit organization founded to advance Canadian global competitiveness in commercial space, technology, and development. SatCan was a second-round applicant to the Canadian federal government’s Innovation Supercluster Program and is now supported in part through the National Research Council of Canada’s Industrial Research Assistance Program.
