David Rodier is Managing Director, Corporate Communications at Edelman Global Advisory. He has 30 years’ experience providing strategic, policy and communications counsel to senior leaders from the federal government, national non-governmental organizations, and business worlds.
Mr. Rodier has a broad practice area encompassing corporate communications, public affairs, message development, reputational management and thought leadership. Prior to joining the consulting world in 2002, Mr. Rodier served for seven years as an advisor to the Honourable Allan Rock at the Department of Justice and Health Canada. His proudest career accomplishment is the adoption of global precedent-setting picture warning systems on cigarette packaging that are now found in over 100 countries.
Mr. Rodier has held senior campaign roles for three Liberal Prime Minsters including the 2015 and 2019 elections where he was responsible for managing the leader’s media bus and relations with the national press gallery.
Mr. Rodier has a BA with Honours in history from McGill University and an LLB from University of Ottawa. Mr. Rodier is a member of the Law Society of Upper Canada, on the Board of the Canadian Committee for World Press Freedom and Plena Global, a Canadian-based medical cannabis producer. He is a regular contributor to Policy Options magazine.
