Carlo Oliviero

Carlo Oliviero is a corporate affairs leader with 16 years of senior provincial, federal and crown corporation experience in stakeholder and government relations, strategy, communications and public policy development. He is a big picture private and public sector thinker who has led enterprise-wide engagement, outreach, and the management of relationships at the highest levels of decision making. He empowers organizational leaders to build market presence, manage non-market forces, and strategically navigate the government decision making process.​

Mr. Oliviero joins Edelman Global Advisory from the Ontario government where he recently served as the Executive Director of Stakeholder Relations to the Premier of Ontario. In this role, he managed C-suite relationships as a primary intermediary between the government and the corporate sector and helped realize the government’s mandate to support economic growth, strategic investments in infrastructure, transportation, energy, mining and manufacturing sectors and building a resilient healthcare system.​

Prior to his time in the Premier’s Office, he served as Chief of Staff to the Minister of Energy, Northern Development and Mining and Indigenous Affairs where he developed and managed various pandemic emergency measures for residential and industrial customers, the modernization of the Ontario Energy Board, leadership to ensure reliability and resiliency of the provincial energy system, and led Ontario’s entry into a historic agreement with First Nations in the planning and development of the northern road link to the Ring of Fire.​

From 2009 to 2011, he served as an advisor to the federal Minister Health.​

Mr. Oliviero earned his MBA from the Ivey School of Business and a B.A. in Political Science from Carleton University.
