Nikki Haley: 2024 Republican Candidate for President

First one in, last one out in the GOP’s challenge against Former President Donald Trump

As former President Trump’s remaining GOP challenger, former South Carolina Governor and UN Ambassador Nikki Haley is holding onto hopes of a nomination for a White House bid against incumbent President Joe Biden. Her campaign has largely mirrored many of the same policy stances as her GOP opponent, with a few key differences in foreign policy.

  • On Foreign Policy: Haley represents a much more neoconservative sect of the Republican party in her support for foreign aid, particularly when it comes to promises to be tough on China and Russia and uphold close allyship with the state of Israel.
  • On Immigration Policy: Haley echos much of Trump’s ideals for cracking down on illegal immigration, vowing she would make moves to defund sanctuary cities and close our southern border.
  • On Healthcare Policy: Haley has said she’ll consider raising the retirement age to match life expectancy and expanding Medicare Advantage in hopes of saving retirement and health safety nets for seniors without raising taxes to support the programs.
