What to Expect from the 2023 Argentine Presidential Runoff

On November 19th, the second round of elections will take place between Sergio Massa and Javier Milei. As they head to the polls, Argentines will define who will be the next president of the nation. The runoff election will take place because last October Argentines voted between five presidential candidates.

Given that none of the five candidates obtained more than 45% of the votes or more than 40% with a difference of 10% over the second contestant, the frontrunners Sergio Massa (Unión por la Patria: 36.68%) and Javier Milei (La Libertad Avanza: 29.98%) will compete in a runoff election.
